[English Description]
Japan and Korea has a territorial dispute over the Takeshima Islands (Koreans call it Dokdo), which lies in Sea of Japan.
In 1951, Dean Rusk who later became the U.S Secretary of State (1961-69) conveyed to the South Korean government that "Takeshima has never been part of Korea, and Korea has never claimed it in the past. It is a Japanese territory".
However, in 1954 then South Korean president Syngman Rhee invaded and occupied the islands violating the international law.
In order to solve this dispute peacefully, democratically, and "fair and square", I call upon everyone around the world with conscience to support us, to take this territorial dispute to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in Hague.
