Dear Mr. Arthur Sulzberger Jr.,
With regard to your article which was written by your correspondent in Tokyo Mr. Norimitsu Ohnishi on Dec.20th about abduction issues, we, Japanese people would like to express deep protestation to NY Times.
We are feeling as if quality paper in US is supporting abductions by North Korea and criticizing Japanese government and people who are taking action toward abduction.
If American people are abducted by North Korea or other country, do you publish an article which criticize US government and people? I am sure that you will not do that. We call it as “Double standard”.
Mr. Ohnishi stated in his article “Outside Japan, the abductions may have played out long ago,”.
Do you justify abductions since it was long ago? Also most of abductions took place inside territory of Japan. It is obvious that his article will mislead US people who has less knowledge about abduction. Or do you support abductions done by Kim dynasty?
If you are really a quality paper in US, we would like you to take some corrective actions and provide us some guarantee that this kind of misleading article will never come up.

ご本の紹介ありがとうございます。そうですよね。日本同様、アメリカのメディアも偏りがありますよね。オオニシの場合、日系人なのに反日ということで注目度も大きくなってしまうんでしょうね(--)(__)

百人斬りのニュースは何日か経ってからどなたかのブログをたまたま見ていて知りました。慌てて古新聞（産経）めくって探したら小さく載ってました。朝日とか毎日は大喜びで大きく載せてたんでしょうかね？(-.-#)
「日中共同歴史研究」は、歴史の共有なんて無理と相手に分からせることができるのであれば、それなりの意義はあるかも…とは思います。
